Meet our Pediatric Optometrist

Dr. Sandy Lin O.D.

Therapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Lin was born in Taiwan but has been raised in Houston from a young age. She graduated from Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions and attended University of Texas at Austin with a full academic scholarship. From there, she continued to receive her doctorate degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Upon graduation, Dr. Lin completed her externship at Northwestern University where she routinely diagnosed and managed ocular procedures such as cataract, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and foreign body removal. In addition, she has experiences from George E. Wahlen Veterans Affairs Hospital where she vastly focuses on geriatric population in eye disease such as macular degeneration and dry eyes. Today, she is passionate for fitting specialty contact lenses and managing dry eyes disease.

Dr. Lin loves to travel the world on her free time. More importantly, she’s constantly looking for ways to give back to the community. In the past, she has hosted fundraising activity to provide for those in need of glasses. It is her personal mission to raise awareness for ocular health of all ages and has appeared on various news media outlets advocating for optometric professions. She is the mother of three fur-babies: Cheeto (named after her favorite chips), Bella and Simba. She is a huge Disney fan and loves to attend cycling and yoga classes. Dr. Lin is fluent in Mandarin language.
